From the mind and rosin bucket of David Henry…

Nashville TN-As a composer, songwriter, producer, and recording engineer, David has collaborated with artists such as Cowboy Junkies, Ben Folds, Indigo Girls, For King and Country, Guster, Tim McGraw, Jewel, and many more. He also wrote, recorded and toured with his band Brother Henry taking a swing at the AAA pop market with regional success including radio play on Nashville’s Lightning 100 and performances from regional clubs to colleges including fronting an orchestral concert with the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra.

After awhile, David changed gears and dove into teaching middle school orchestra class at JT Moore in Nashville. After eleven years (wow that was fun!) , David decided it was time to start crafting his first solo release creating a grandfatherly musical, story-telling narrative backed by the stringed instruments he has taught to his students and applied to so many other’s projects.

“Dreams From a Honeysuckle Thicket” journeys through southern landscapes and tradition leaning on elements of folk music, chamber orchestra, and rock music to supply the lush backdrop for this rollicking story of a pair of beer soaked misfits who pursue their dreams from the confines of a middle Tennessee honeysuckle thicket. David wrote, recorded and played all of the instruments (violin, viola, cello and bass), on the project, except for the incomparable Viktor Krauss who played bass on “This Here William Pock”.
